AN INTRO THAT NEEDS NO INTRO

Today is the day Hindley Street Music Hall opens the doors for the Grand Opening Party! It’s a monumental day for the Adelaide live music ecosphere. We really can’t wait to open those doors and get you singing and dancing as soon as possible.

We knew we had to go big with this one. We needed a line-up to give our new venue a grand and proper introduction. It’d be rude not to. So along with Secret Sounds and Live Nation, we called up some friends.

DMA’s, Wafia, Mash’d N Kutcher, West Thebarton and Jess Day are bringing the party to a soon to be packed room. Not only that, we also called up Ben and Liam from Nova FM to be your hosts too.

Before we open our doors for the first time, here is a quick overview of the amazing artists that we’ve brought along to introduce Hindley Street Music Hall in style.

DMA’s

Sydney’s DMA’s are a lightning rod for some of the loudest singalongs we’ve ever seen or heard. Full stop.

The 3-piece indie pop/rock trio have just released their latest EP ‘I Love You Unconditionally, Sure Am Going To Miss You’ and they’re coming to down to celebrate this too.

After their smash hit ‘Delete’ going wild online and picking up a Top 10 spot on Triple J’s Hottest 100, DMA’s have set themselves on a path of world domination. They have toured with Liam Gallagher, The Kooks and performed at an AFL Grand Final over the last few years, so with some new music in tow, DMA’s are more than ready to bring you one hell of a party.

Wafia

Wafia is one of Australia’s alt-pop singer song-writing queens, who happens to know a thing or two about making some banging party anthems.

After her breakout hit ‘Let Me Love You’ and collaboration with Louie The Child on Gold-certified smash ‘Better Not’, she has managed to collect 300 million culminative streams online from all around the world. Along with her latest single ‘In The Honey’, Wafia is bringing sweet grooves, true artistry and some huge singalongs. We hope you’re ready.

Mash’d N’ Kutcher

ARIA-recognised DJs and proven dance floor destroyers Mash’d N Kutcher have collected a massive list of sold-out tours and DJ sets all around the world. After nearly 10 years of creating carnage on dance floors and making and remixing huge bangers, such as ‘On My Mind’ and ‘Need Me’, this all came to a head in 2020 when they made a track from some nice and simple instructions:

“Get on the beers.”

You know what to do.

West Thebarton

With 7 band members, West Thebarton are going to crank it all the way to 10 when they hit the stage. Starting from packing out Adelaide’s small venues and house parties from 2015 onwards, the garage-punk supergroup has gone on to perform clean sweeps at the South Australian Music awards, getting tapped on the shoulder for ARIA nominations and played some of Australia’s biggest festivals.

The West really is the best.

Jess Day

Who better than to sing and play some of the first notes on our stage than Jess Day? She is one of Adelaide’s best and treasured singer-songwriters. Becoming a feature artist on Triple J right from her debut release, to then making huge impressions with her smash hit ‘Affection’, she has snowballed into selling out headline tours and joined Spacey Jane on another huge sold-out run.

On an enormous rise, Hindley Street Music Hall and Jess Day is a perfect match.

Get ready for a massive night Adelaide!
